Bob Arthur is President of Magellan Corporation, a leading global distributor of special steels, since its inception in 1985 and Vice Chair of Seatrade Transport International, an owner and operator of dry bulk cargo vessels and marine terminals. Bob has served on the boards of the Chicago Council on Science & Technology, Chicago Public Media, DuSable Museum, Field Museum, Gilda’s Club of Chicago, La Rabida Children’s Hospital, and the Old Town School of Folk Music.
During the three plus decades Frank has been with Magellan Corporation, he has been part of the company’s core leadership team. Frank oversees all commercial operations, including the purchasing and sales of all of our product lines. He circles the globe to source the highest quality special bar quality (SBQ), stainless steel and rebar at competitive pricing for Magellan’s valued clients. Frank is a former board member of Chicago nonprofit Horizons for Youth.
Heather has been with Magellan Corporation since 2000, when she joined our sales department. For nearly two decades, Heather led the department, overseeing all rebar, stainless and Special Bar Quality steel sales. Heather brings unparalleled expertise in the oil and gas industries and a wealth of market knowledge. In 2023, Heather was named Senior Vice President of Marketing. She currently serves on the boards of Chicago nonprofits After School Matters, Noah's Arc Foundation and Gilda’s Club of Chicago, and she is a former board member of Esperanza Community Services and La Rabida Children’s Hospital.
Josh joined Magellan Corporation in March of 2001, having been in the industry for the eight years prior with a steel service center. Originally hired as the purchasing manager, Josh quickly became involved with sales as well. From 2006 to 2009, he was materials manager, responsible for terminal relations, inbound receipts and outbound shipments. In 2009, he rejoined the sales team managing relationships with several of Magellan Corporation’s main accounts. Josh became National Sales Director in 2012, was named VP of Sales in 2019, and was named Senior Vice President of Sales in 2023. Josh is a sustaining board member of JDRF Illinois.
Since 1999, Emily Ricci has been an integral member of the Magellan team. Initially working in our traffic department, Emily oversaw quality assurance measures, moved to processing and logistics, worked with IT to implement our internal processing system, and helped develop terminal procedures and requirements. As VP of Materials Management, Emily oversees a team devoted to maintaining and increasing efficiency and velocity of inbound and outbound shipments while delivering first in class service to clients. Emily is a volunteer with United Way of Lake County, Lake County Haven, and PKU Organization of Illinois.
Rebecca’s tenure with Magellan began in 2001, when she joined as the Assistant Controller in our accounting department. She designed and implemented Magellan’s first website, wrote the company-wide standard operating procedures manual, and learned the ins and outs of every facet of the business. In 2018, Rebecca was named Director of International Trade and Government Relations, responsible for oversight of all import operations, trade compliance, Section 232 considerations, and supply chain security, including Magellan’s partnership with US Customs on CTPAT. Rebecca was named Vice President of International Trade and Government Relations in January 2023.
Prior to joining Magellan, Abby worked with a major public accounting firm for 10 years. In 2014, Abby joined Magellan in the position of Controller, and was named Chief Financial Officer upon the retirement of her predecessor in 2023.
A CPA, Abby oversees all elements of Magellan’s financial concerns, including banking, accounting systems and controls, reporting and insurance. She is an active member of her community and the schools and extracurricular activities of her two young children.
Greg joined Magellan in June 2024 as Vice President of Marketing. He brings extensive marketing, business development and sponsorships expertise from his tenures in collegiate athletics, e-sports/content streaming and professional sports, including 14 years in the Chicago Blackhawks front office. While with the Blackhawks, Greg managed Magellan’s marketing partnership with the team. Afterward, he went on to have marketing sales and leadership roles with other sports and entertainment properties and rights holders. He is an active volunteer in his children’s athletics, as well as other community volunteer initiatives.

Interested in interning? Each year, Magellan offers a few qualified university students the opportunity to participate in a summer internship program. Interns will gain valuable insight into the key functional areas of business. The program attracts students from around the world with past interns including students from Turkey, Spain, Canada, Brazil and Mexico.
