The Old Town School of Folk Music's annual Blue Jean Gala is the Chicago music lover's most anticipate annual event.
And 2013 did not disappoint. Featuring the, both, inimitable Kris Kristofferson and Alison Krauss.
Singer-songwriter and actor Kristofferson has credits too numerous to mention, but include "Me and Bobby McGee:, "For the Good Times", "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", and "Help Me Make it Through the Night", all of which were hits for other artists. Along with fellow country music greats Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash, he formed the supergroup the Highwaymen in 1985.
Bluegrass, country singer and musician Alison Krauss has won 27 Grammy Awards, is well known for, among her prolific catalogue of music, "When You Say Nothing at All", "Whiskey Lullaby", and "Down to the River to Pray" from the "O Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack, among others.
And on this night, at the Magellan-sponsored OSFM Blue Jean Gala, the audience was electrified.
